Web design FAQ

Questions worth answering before anybody touches your website.

Good website projects get easier when ownership, expectations, integrations and the actual business goal are clear from the beginning. These are some of the questions we hear most often.

Do you use templates?

For public-facing client websites, our goal is to design around the individual business rather than force every customer into the same visual template. Reusable technology can still make sense behind the scenes for things like portals, stores, scheduling, content workflows and other systems where repeatable engineering is useful.

Can you redesign an existing website?

Yes. A redesign can range from a focused visual and content refresh to a complete rebuild when the current platform, hosting or technical debt is holding the business back.

Can you migrate us away from WordPress or another provider?

Yes, when the source system can be accessed and its content or functionality can be preserved or rebuilt appropriately. We first identify what must survive, what should be improved and what should be retired rather than blindly copying every old dependency.

Do we keep control of our domain and website?

We prefer a setup where ownership, access and responsibilities are documented clearly. Domains and critical business accounts should not become mysterious assets that nobody can access without begging a former vendor.

Do you provide hosting and maintenance?

YHWH Systems can coordinate hosting, DNS, maintenance, monitoring, security and related technology as part of the solution. The right operating model depends on the project and the systems involved.

Can you work with our existing email, phone or IT vendors?

Yes. A website project does not require replacing vendors that are already serving the business well. We can work around existing contracts and coordinate the technical pieces that touch the website.

Do you build websites for companies outside Louisiana?

Yes. Web design and development can be delivered nationwide. YHWH Systems is headquartered in Louisiana, but the work itself is not limited by state lines.

Can you build more than a normal website?

Yes. Depending on the project, we can design around portals, scheduling, stores, forms, customer workflows, business systems and integrations rather than stopping at a traditional brochure website.

Can you rescue a website that is currently broken or unreliable?

Yes. We can approach troubled sites as a recovery and migration problem: preserve what matters, diagnose the failure points, stabilize where necessary, then engineer a cleaner path forward.

How do we start?

Start with a conversation about the business, the current website, the audience, what is frustrating you and what you want the site to accomplish. From there we can determine whether you need a new build, redesign, rescue, migration or a larger digital platform.

Still deciding what kind of project you have?

That is fine. You do not need to diagnose the website before contacting us. Tell us what is happening and what you want the business to be able to do; we can help identify the right path.
